Invoicing and Promotional Codes: Examples

Here are two examples to illustrate how promotional codes work with invoicing:

• Scenario 1 (No Promotional Code):
  • You, as the boat owner, provide the renter with an invoice for €100.
  • Rent Boat Cyprus provides you with an invoice for €20, representing our commission.
• Scenario 2 (Promotional Code Used):
  • The renter used a promotional code, resulting in a discounted rental price.
  • You, as the boat owner, provide the renter with an invoice for €90 (the discounted price).
  • Rent Boat Cyprus provides you with an invoice for €10, reflecting the discounted commission.

Important Note: Upon payment, Rent Boat Cyprus provides renters with a payment receipt. This is not an invoice. As the boat owner, you are responsible for providing the renter with a formal invoice.

Finding the Total Amount to Invoice:

The total amount you should invoice the renter is located in the “Price” column of your booking summary.

Correcting Over-Issued Invoices:

If you issue an invoice for an incorrect amount (e.g., €100 instead of €90), you must issue a credit note to the renter for the difference (€10 in this example). For accounting purposes, Rent Boat Cyprus cannot provide a corrected commission invoice in such cases.
